To travel to Mexico for stays of a maximum of 30 days, you will only need a valid passport, with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of return.
Language
The official language of Mexico is Spanish, spoken by 90% of Mexicans. The indigenous languages of the Aztecs, Mayans and other tribes are also spoken throughout the country.
Religion
The predominant religion in Mexico is Catholic, with almost 79% of the population, then Protestant with 8% and the rest are people who do not profess any religion.
Climate
Mexico is a country with great climatic diversity. The situation of the country places it in two very different areas, separated by the Tropic of Cancer, a tropical zone and a temperate zone. In this way, it is possible to find cold high mountain climates a few hundred kilometers from the hottest climates of the coastal plain. The average temperature in the country is about 19oC.
Health
No vaccination is required for travelers from Europe.
Currency
The official currency of Mexico is the Mexican peso, it is divided into 100 cents. Currently in circulation there are coins of 10, 20 and 50 centavos and 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 pesos; and bills of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 pesos. €1 is equivalent to approximately 19 Mexican pesos.
Payment methods
Debit or credit cards can be used to pay in hotels, restaurants, stores, supermarkets, etc.
Electricity
The common voltage is 127 V. The plugs and sockets are type A / B. It is advisable to carry a travel adapter.
Means of transport
In Mexico there are all known means of transportation. In Mexico City there is a special transportation called Metrobús, a fast bus that travels on a 125-kilometer network.

Gastronomy
In 2005, Mexico presented the candidacy of its gastronomy to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site, being the first time that a country had presented its gastronomic tradition for this purpose. In the first instance the result was negative, but finally on November 16 it was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The origin of current Mexican cuisine is established during Spanish colonization, being a mixture of the foods of Spain and the native Indians. The best-known products of its gastronomy are: corn, chili, beans, pumpkins, avocados, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, cocoa, turkey, tacos, quesadillas; and drinks such as tequila, mezcal and margaritas.
Helpful tips
To travel to Mexico it is advisable to bring a mosquito repellent either in spray or bracelet, a microfiber towel, comfortable cotton clothing, fresh t-shirts and pants, and warm clothing to visit tourist sites at altitude.
