Holy Week - Full Morocco from Madrid itinerary

Day 1:

MADRID / TANGIER / CHAOUEN / FEZ

Flight from your hometown to Madrid-Barajas Airport. *

Presentation at Madrid Barajas airport at least 3 hours in advance. Check-in, boarding and departure on a direct Air Arabia flight to Tangier. Arrival, meeting and reception by your Moroccan guide who will accompany you throughout the tour. Departure to the picturesque city of Chaouen, known worldwide as the blue town, due to the color of the facades of its houses. This city was built in the 15th century by Moulay Rachid against Christian attacks. Continuation to Fez where we will arrive at the end of the afternoon. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 2:

FEZ

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of the city known as the religious capital of the country. Founded in the 8th century by Idriss II, it is considered one of the 4 imperial capitals. During this visit, a tour is taken of the most emblematic places of Fez, such as the exteriors of the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter and the fortress that has the best view of Fez el Bali, the medina or ancient city. A walking tour takes place for several hours, accessing through the famous Bab Bou Jeloud gate, having the possibility of experiencing a return to the past in a part of the city that still lives close to the Middle Ages. Walls that protect its interior made up of hundreds of labyrinthinely organized alleys where customers will be able to experience a thousand smells and flavors in this place considered a World Heritage Site. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 3:

FEZ / IFRANE / MIDELT / ERFOUD / MERZOUGA

Breakfast at the hotel. Early departure south towards the Sahara Desert, a long but beautiful journey that will take us through natural landscapes, rural areas and Berber villages. Passing through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, and Ifrane, Moroccan Switzerland. Continuation to Midelt, capital of the Middle Atlas and Er-Rachidia enjoying semi-desert landscapes and the first large palm groves, until reaching Merzouga. We will travel to the camp in 4x4 vehicles and spend the night in nomadic tents with dinner by the light of the campfire. Dinner and accommodation at the camp.

Day 4:

MERZOUGA / ERFOUD / TODRA GORGES / BOUMALNE DADES / OUARZAZATE

Departure to enjoy a camel ride at dawn and cross the dunes (not included). Return to camp for breakfast. Departure to the Todra Gorges via Erfoud. Arrival at the gorges, a geographical feature that has been formed by the erosion of the river and where you can walk to get to know the area. Located on the eastern side of the High Atlas mountains of Morocco, they are recognized worldwide for being one of the most spectacular rocky canyons, with vertical walls, which extends from its entrance, gradually widening until its final stretch where it disappears. Continuation along the famous route of the Kasbahs and the Valley of Roses. Arrival in Ouarzazate. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 5:

OUARZAZATE / AIT BEN HADDOU / MARRAKECH

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of Ouarzazate, a city that is characterized by the variety of landscapes, the hospitality of its people, its wealth and its architecture. It was born from an outpost created by the Foreign Legion in 1928. Today it is booming on a cinematographic level. It stands out in the city center, the Central market, Al Mouahidine square and the craft souk. Continuation towards the fortified city or Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site. One of the best preserved kasbahs in all of Morocco, it represents an outstanding example of the fortresses of the Kasbah route. He recently appeared in the series “Game of Thrones”. Continuation to Marrakech crossing the Altas, along the Col du Tichka at 2,400 meters of altitude. Arrival in the afternoon to Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 6:

MARRAKESH

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to visit the city called "pearl of the South." Visit that begins in the grandiose Menara gardens. Subsequently, an exterior view of the Koutoubia minaret, twin sister of the Giralda in Seville, is made. Once inside the semi-ancient part of the city, we visit the Bahia Palace, a place where our clients can admire the layout of an old palace of a wealthy person in the city. Next, a walking tour will take place through the authentic old part of the city, the souks and the medina. Neighborhoods of wood, ceramic, leather and spice artisans will be some of the places that will be visited. Free time to enjoy the city. Return to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

MARRAKECH / RABAT / TANGIER

Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning departure to Rabat, capital of Morocco. Panoramic tour of the city known as the "Royal City", including the exteriors of the Royal Palace, the Hassan Tower, the mausoleum of Mohamed V, the Kasbah of the Oudayas and the Medina (ancient city). Then departure to Tangier. Arrival in the late afternoon. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

TANGIER / MADRID

Departure in the early morning to Tangier airport to take the flight back to Madrid. End of services.
