The White Desert, is a protected National Park that extends over an area of about 300 km² in what thousands of years ago was an inland sea and today is still one of Egypt's mysteries yet to be discovered. It is difficult to describe the beauty of this place, the white color of the limestone takes over the desert domains, stones that nature over time has turned into true natural sculptures thanks to the erosion caused by the wind. Under the layers of golden sand from the nearby deserts, a heart of white chalk stretches out that gives it this appearance, the entire desert is dotted with huge and fragile white rocks that today have become the most amazing natural jewel in Egypt. Not only are we going to find natural sculptures, this desert also hides dunes, gorges, archaeological remains (Roman, Mamluk and Ottoman), Bedouin villages and oases that were refuge for the caravans that supplied the Nile.
